The "Vitogaz" company decides to undertake an innovative commercial policy: sales of 13-kilogram cylinders with propane-butane, without obligations for the clients to buy home heating equipment.
The idea is revolutionary and results follow soon. The enterprise develops in the sphere of direct sales (Paris region) and through brokerage of distributors (North and East France) at the same time.
In 1966, Vitogaz introduces the distribution of propane-butane in bulk tanks:
- 102 tons of gas are sold during the same year;
- 2 years later, there are already 310 bulk tanks installed.
At the end of 2006, Vitogaz owns a park of 40 000 bulk tanks and more than one million of single containers.
